Every loyal supporter knows every bit of Maymay Entrata‘s life story and humble beginnings. The 20-year-old morena beauty, who is now a super star admired by thousands of people, was born in Cagayan de Oro. As a self-confessed fangirl who looks up to many actors and actresses, Maymay used to religiously watch mall shows back in the province to get a glimpse of her favorite local stars.

She’s that type of fangirl who screams her lungs out, maybe even holding a banner, whenever she sees her showbiz crushes. She admires famous young personalities Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Liza Soberano, and Enrique Gil.

Tables were turned in 2017 when Vivo Smartphone ambassador was declared as the Big Winner of reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7. Her career skyrocketed after PBB and after she and Edward Barber were launched as an official love team (MayWard). Breaking into showbiz is definitely a dream come true for Maymay. It has been almost two years of living in the limelight, but Maymay still describes it as “too good to be true” until today.

One of the most amazing opportunities given to Maymay, which is a sure sign that she has truly made it, was when Mega chose her to grace the cover of Making Mega in Germany this 2018. Maymay now joins the elite roster of Making Mega cover stars Anne Curtis, Kathryn Bernardo, Vice Ganda, Julia Barretto, Erich Gonzales, Maja Salvador, Nadine Lustre, and Maine Mendoza among others.

Maymay’s very own Making Mega cover broke the internet and became viral when the covers were uploaded online on the first week of Febuary. Fans went cray seeing Maymay in stunning and humungous ball gowns with her “prince charming” Edward.

We crack open the chapters of fantasy and live out personal and collective dreams in the pages of this year’s anniversary issue. And just like every great narrative, this story needed a wide-eyed and impressionable lead to anchor the fairy tale down. Meet Maymay Entrata, our modern-day Cinderella who unlike the archetype of our childhood, is every inch real, charming, expressive and more importantly, with a story to tell. Living out a royal fantasy in the snowy expanse of Heidelberg Castle, the most sparkling next big thing holds her own as if telling us that her moment has truly come.

When we hear of fairytales, it conjures thoughts of grandeur and sometimes even magic; the stories of princes and princesses who make the best of their circumstances and are rewarded with the fulfillment of their wildest dreams. Reality may have stamped out what seems to be a childish notion of what our goals should be, but let this be a reminder that while we might not get the fairytale life we desire, at the very least, we all deserve a happy ending. Here we see Sleeping beauty, a vision in pink. Aurora and her prince charming have found each other at last, inspiring those stuck in the mundane daze of the everyday to wake up.

Dapper, well-mannered and with an impression of possibilities ahead of him, Edward Barber is a textbook definition of a prince charming. But more than just his good looks, the young man is bubbling with passion and drive to make something of himself even this early on. Looking after his own trajectory, as well as that of his princess, the enthralling Maymay Entrata, Edward displays the makings of someone who is meant for greater things. And even more impressive, he is ready to get the work done, thus marking the beginning of his coming-of-age.
For the month of February, MEGA MAN reveals one of two covers with its first ever love team cover stars: the riveting Maymay Entrata and her prince, Edward Barber. See MEGA MAN’s main cover later tonight @megaman_magazine .

Taken in Heidelberg Castle, the concept of the shoot looks very familiar and close to the hearts of many—Disney Princesses. Everybody immediately noticed that Maymay transformed into different Disney princess characters. Each layout looks magical and makes us believe that she’s a real-life princess. The most iconic one, which we think most of you will agree, is the main cover—the Cinderella look.

Coincidence or Destiny?

If you’re going to re-read Inside Showbiz Weekly‘s first feature about Maymay (which is her very first e-magazine feature after PBB), she mentioned that her life is like Cinderella’s:

Is it just a coincidence, or Maymay truly is a real-life Cinderella who has experienced countless of challenges, but in the end, because of her pure heart and intentions, became successful and found the love of her life?

Take a look at the characters Maymay portrayed in her stunning Making Mega photos and vote for your favorite layout below. Enjoy!

Cinderella of Cinderella

“With a wicked stepmother (Eleanor Audley) and two jealous stepsisters (Rhoda Williams, Lucille Bliss) who keep her enslaved and in rags, Cinderella (Ilene Woods) stands no chance of attending the royal ball. When her fairy godmother (Verna Felton) appears and magically transforms her reality into a dream come true, Cinderella enchants the handsome Prince Charming at the ball, but must face the wrath of her enraged stepmother and sisters when the spell wears off at midnight.” Walt Disney, 1950

Snow White of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

“Exiled into the dangerous forest by her wicked stepmother, a princess is rescued by seven dwarf miners who make her part of their household.” Walt Disney, 1937

Ariel of Little Mermaid

“A mermaid princess makes a Faustian bargain with an unscrupulous sea-witch in order to meet a human prince on land.” Walt Disney, 1989

Belle of Beauty and the Beast

“A young woman whose father has been imprisoned by a terrifying beast offers herself in his place, unaware that her captor is actually a prince, physically altered by a magic spell.” Walt Disney 1991

Aurora of Sleeping Beauty

“After being snubbed by the royal family, a malevolent fairy places a curse on a princess which only a prince can break, along with the help of three good fairies.” Walt Disney, 1959

Mulan (Ming-Na Wen) of Mulan

“To save her father from death in the army, a young maiden secretly goes in his place and becomes one of China’s greatest heroines in the process.” Walt Disney, 1998

Pocahontas of Pocahontas

“An English soldier and the daughter of an Algonquin chief share a romance when English colonists invade seventeenth-century Virginia.” Walt Disney, 1995

Tiana of The Princess and the Frog

“A waitress, desperate to fulfill her dreams as a restaurant owner, is set on a journey to turn a frog prince back into a human being, but she has to face the same problem after she kisses him.” Walt Disney, 2009

Rapunzel of Tangled

“The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.” Walt Disney, 2010
